Tempered glass belongs to the category of safety glass. During production, it undergoes heat treatment, which strengthens its surface and makes the glass less likely to break. When broken, it forms small pieces, making it safer than regular glass.
Tempered glass is used where glass needs to be extra strong and/or safe. Examples include glass doors, kitchen backsplashes, glass partitions, shower walls and glass furniture.

AA Glas has a large inventory and works with state-of-the-art cutting equipment, which effortlessly cuts through tempered glass. We can finish (clear, frosted, colored) or grind (faceted, polished or mitered) toughened glass to your specifications.
Laminated glass and tempered glass are sometimes confused. Both types of glass fall into the category of safety glass, but have different properties. The main difference: it behaves differently when broken:
Both properties can also be combined: this involves processing PVB film between tempered glass sheets. This produces extra strong glass, which does not fall apart when broken.
