We can supply custom cut plexiglass from stock. Our stock consists of large sizes of plexiglass that we cut to the right size ourselves for our customers. The thicknesses of plexiglass we have in stock are plexiglass 3 mm, plexiglass 4 mm, plexiglass 6 mm and plexiglass 8 mm.
Plexiglass is safe and cannot break easily, which is why it can be used in many different applications. It can be easily drilled into so that the plexiglass is easy to hang. It is easy to process yourself and can actually be used in all situations. Some examples:
There are a number of things to consider when processing and using plexiglass. Plexiglass is a pliable product, so placing a plexiglass sheet on a counter without tools is a possible problem. With some simple adjustments, it can be achieved simply, such as with a block of wood with a slot combined with a narrow u-profile glued to the sides. This keeps the profile stably upright. In addition, plexiglass is a fairly soft material and therefore prone to scratching. Whether plexiglass is suitable for your application must be considered on a case-by-case basis. As mentioned above, plexiglass is a soft material and thus also prone to scratching. It is wise to use a soft cloth when cleaning. The cloth should also be clean, as a dirty cloth can cause scratches. Plexiglas can be easily cleaned with AA glass cleaner. This is the most ideal means of maintaining plexiglass.
Plexiglass, as mentioned, can be used anywhere, but be aware that plexiglass can discolor quickly. Outdoor applications for and with plexiglass are therefore not the best option. The plexiglass will discolor quickly (become yellow in color) and will be scratched by wind and dirt. Glass is a good replacement for this, harder material which does not have these disadvantages for an outdoor situation.
We make our glass corona screens from special safety glass. The advantage of glass over plexiglass corona screens is primarily better visibility and clarity. In addition, glass does not discolor and plexiglass does. Also, glass has the advantage of being scratch resistant, it is stronger, easier to clean and has a much longer life span.
