What is solar control glass

Solar control glass contains a coating with special metals capable of absorbing or reflecting sunlight. Some types of solar control glass are made by adding certain metal oxides to the glass mixture. This makes the glass less transparent to sunlight. If you don't want to replace your windows, in some cases you can also just apply a solar control film.

Solar control glass does block heat, but lets sunlight through as much as possible.
