Vacuum glass

The insulation value of vacuum glass

Vacuum glass is a technological marvel that offers a vast improvement over traditional insulating glass. In vacuum glass, two sheets of glass are placed on top of each other and separated by a vacuum chamber.

This provides a very low heat transfer coefficient (U value), which means that the glass provides excellent insulation. This keeps heat inside in winter and outside in summer.

The U-value of vacuum glass can even be reduced to 0.4 W/m²K, meaning it insulates almost 10 times better than single-pane glass and 2-3 times better than traditional insulating glass.
