Vacuum glass is a breakthrough technology in glass insulation. It combines the highest insulation value with an unparalleled thin pane, making it effortless to install in existing window frames. This makes it the perfect choice for older buildings as well as modern structures.
Vacuum glass is a thin pane of glass with a high insulation value. It is composed of two sheets of glass, each only 3 mm thick, separated by a vacuum of 0.1 mm. This combination produces a total thickness of only 6 to 7 mm, which is significantly less than traditional high performance glass. The super-insulating properties of vacuum glass and its low thickness make it possible to fit the glass effortlessly into existing window frames, without the need for modifications.
The secret behind the impressive insulation value of vacuum glass lies in a simple physical principle: heat conduction. Heat loss always occurs through a material. With vacuum glass, the vacuum between the glass panes is the key - it provides virtually no heat transfer material, minimizing heat loss.
